My passion for art and the environment have evolved into the work you see here. I am so uncomfortable seeing durable, non-degradable items thrown away. The shapes, colors, patterns and textures that are found in electronic components had long drawn my attention but it wasn’t until my young son and I began taking apart computers that I became determined to work with these materials. I think I am not alone in finding these materials intriguing. Also, bringing these mysterious materials out into the light instead of the black boxes they usually inhabit and placing them in an entirely esthetic context creates a juxtaposition that is very satisfying. Styrofoam also falls into this same category. So many interesting shapes and designs just asking to be put to a better purpose than a landfill.
I would be happy to customize a commissioned work for a specific space.
